🧳 Our Personal Journey: A Soulful Sojourn

We left Delhi from Majnu ka Tila, armed with snacks, confidence, and… the wrong bus.

🎯 Intended: Kangra.
🎯 Boarded: Dharamshala. Classic us. 🤷‍♀️

🌒 The overnight ride was a dramatic mix of roadside chai, surprise dinner breaks, neck spasms, and the unmistakable chorus of mountain-motion sickness. Welcome to the Himalayas.

At dawn, we stepped off the bus—disoriented, sleep-deprived, and stubbornly on a budget. So began the Great Bus Ballet:

🚌 Dharamshala → Palampur (1.5 hr of  forest views)
    🚌 Palampur → Baijnath (30 mins of pine-lined roads)
    🚌 Baijnath → Bir (20 mins of small-town charm)
    🚕 Bir → Gunehar (just a 1.5 km hike)

🛏️ Gunehar welcomed us like a postcard. We found a humble homestay across from the famous 4Tables Café—murals outside, dinner inside, stars above. Bliss.

🎨Wandering through the mural-painted village felt like strolling through an art exhibit curated by nature and nostalgia—a walk through whispered stories.

💦  We hiked to the waterfall the next morning—legs wobbling, spirits soaring. The water hit like liquid ice, the selfies were chaotic, and the Maggi-chai combo at the trail’s end? Instant therapy.

🌌 That night, we sipped pahadi chai with our hosts, shared stories of ghosts and gliders, and took a starlit walk that felt like stepping into a lullaby.

🪂 Then came paragliding. The road to Billing twisted like a plotline. Our pilots grinned like comic villains, yelled “DON’T SIT,” and launched us skyward. We flew. Soaring over pine-draped valleys, my friend lost her breakfast mid-air—but hey, memories! We laughed, screamed, cried—it was magic.

🎈 Above the valleys, with clouds underfoot, we found something better than thrill—freedom.

This wasn’t just a vacation. It was chaos, charm, and a little bit of magic tucked inside a Himachali hug.
It was art, adrenaline, and a soul-reset in a—  hidden gem in Himachal Pradesh— Gunehar Valley.

Gunehar, we’ll be back!
